Anubis is a reverent tribute to the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, which has rested humbly within Barossa Valley’s wine growing history for many generations.  Single vineyard, personally selected fruit from dedicated Barossa growers creates a wine which is a true testament to this noble variety. 

ANUBIS: Egyptian God of the dead represented as a man with a greyhound dog’s head. Depicted as a protector of graves, his role was to usher souls of the dead safely into the afterlife. Tutankhamen and Cleopatra’s many greyhounds were entombed and sometimes mummified with their owners to protect them on their way into royalty afterlife.

Chunky Cabernet with ripe blueberry fruitiness, some mulberry and cassis, a sniff of fresh turned earth and a good seasoning of clove and mahogany wood. There are rivulets of grippy tannin, but the general feel is of plushness and opulence with choc-berry licks to finish. Deep, brooding style managed with class. -
